M FOR: MOTHER'S DAY comes EVERYDAY.

On the fourteenth day of A-To-Z blogging challenge, M is for 'mother'. It's a poem. it's a remembrance of the Presence of Godliness in my life.

MOTHER’S DAY comes everyday

I REALIZED
Every day of my life is a gift of my mother.

I remember myself sharing my every problem with her
And she’d hide from me every difficulty she faced

I remember
How she would heal my deep wounds by her warm soft blow

How could I forget that in my illness she sat beside my bed, awakened throughout the whole nights?
And I remember how I forgot to notice her tears while I was indulge in the will-o-wisp of my ambitions.

I remember when I had blamed the world, she said,
“Don’t shed tears outwards my child,
Rather let them soak inside the heart to make it warm and mild”

I remember since I was born
Every day of my life is a Mother’s Day
For I haven’t yet learnt to live without her love.

aww! that was lovely! it's too bad this realization comes when we are older, being a mom to teens is very discouraging! so strong willed and defiant! hopefully someday they will look back and appreciate as you have.
i admire your words - they touched my heart.
happy a to z-ing!
